Episode 1 - Welcome to Top Model Prep 2/20/2008 Edit details 35 girls arrive at Top Model Prep where they meet with Jay Manuel and Miss J. Alexander. Tyra Banks surprises the girls by showing up as their prom queen. She narrows the field down to 13 finalists and makes one model change her name.
Episode 2 - New York City, Here We Come 2/27/2008 Edit details The final 14 models move into their chic NYC apartment. For their photo shoot, the girls pose as homeless women. At panel, Kimberly quits the competition right before being critiqued, saying that fashion doesn't appeal to her after all. Tyra decides to eliminate a model as well. Amis and Atalya are revealed to be in the bottom two, and Atalya is eliminated for not having a high fashion appeal and not giving a good enough range of expression.
Episode 3 - Top Model Makeovers 3/5/2008 Edit details The models receive makeovers. Tyra does not tell them face to face what makeovers they'll be getting, unlike all the past cycles. For the photo shoot, the girls pose on a boat for an Elle Macpherson line of lingerie. Allison and Dominique are revealed to be the bottom two this week, and Allison is sent home, much to her disappointment and shock for coming off as arrogant in front of the judges.
Episode 4 - Where's the Beef? 3/12/2008 Edit details The girls receive a runway lesson from Miss J. and the New York City Fire Department. For their photo shoot, the girls are taken to the Meat Packing District. 20 minutes before panel, Amis is still sleeping and wakes up in time to throw on a sweatsuit and a headband. Amis and Fatima land in the bottom two - Amis for her lack of focus and Fatima for her lack of growth. Tyra and the judges ultimately decide to send Amis home.
Episode 5 - Top Model Takes It to the Streets 3/19/2008 Edit details The girls meet with posing expert Benny Ninja and supermodel Vendela Kirsebom for a posing competition. Claire was named the winner and received a trip to Bora Bora. For their photo shoot, the models did a beauty shot with paint on their faces for makeup. Marvita and Whitney landed in the bottom two for disappointing photos and a lack of passion for the competition. Tyra sent Marvita home, feeling she had "checked out".
Episode 6 - House of Pain 3/26/2008 Edit details The girls butt heads with Dominique, who shows no consideration for her roommates by letting her alarm clock go off for hours on end. Tyra teaches the girl how to pose while looking pained and deems Anya the winner. For their photo shoot, the models must embody a genre of music. Aimee and Claire land in the bottom two and Aimee is sent home, with the judges feeling that she didn't have what it takes to survive in the industry.
Episode 7 - If You Can't Make It Here, You Can't Make It Anywhere 4/2/2008 Edit details Things heat up in the Top Model house when Lauren loses it on Fatima for dumping out her coffee. For their photo shoot, the girls had to pose over a mylar sheet in water from the off-Broadway show, Fuerzabruta. Claire and Lauren land in the bottom two and Claire is eliminated, for not showing more diversity and not listening to Jay in her photo shoot.

Episode 9 - For Those About To Walk, We Salute You 4/16/2008 Edit details Lauren is rushed to the hospital after slicing her finger in the kitchen. The girls receive valuable interview tips from judge, Paulina Porizkova. The models participate in a group photo shoot on an airport runway. Fatima misses the shoot, trying to secure her travel papers. She lands in the bottom two, but Tyra sends Stacy Ann home instead, for not standing out in a crowd.
Episode 10 - Viva Italia! 4/23/2008 Edit details The models arrive in Rome and must film a Cover Girl commercial in Italian. Whitney lands in the bottom two, for failing to deliver a genuine commercial. Lauren stands beside her, for her lack of charisma and passion. Tyra eliminates Lauren and sends her back to the United States.
Episode 11 - We Are Spartans! 4/30/2008 Edit details The girls go to gladiator fighting school and display their new skills in a challenge. Whitney wins a shopping spree and takes Anya along with her. Tyra shoots the girls for their photo challenge and they dress in modern Renaissance fashion. At panel, she eliminated Katarzyna, feeling that she was not living up to her full potential as a model and didn't have the personality to be successful.
Episode 12 - Ready For My Close-Up 5/7/2008 Edit details The models shoot Paulina Porizkova for their challenge, and Fatima is named the winner. The final four girls pose as Italian movie stars pursued by the paparazzi for their photo shoot. Dominique is sent home at panel, for looking too "drag" in her photos.
Episode 13 - And The Winner Is... 5/14/2008 Edit details The final three girls compete, shooting a commercial and photo for CoverGirl. After Fatima is eliminated, Anya and Whitney compete against each other in Versace gowns, with their outfits handpicked by Donatella Versace. America's Next Top Model is crowned.

Summary

America's Next Top Model (often shortened to Top Model or abbreviated as ANTM) is a reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of America's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry.

The show was created and is hosted by television personality, former supermodel and current talk-show host, Tyra Banks, who also serves as the lead judge and executive producer of the show. The first "cycle" premiered in May 2003 and was one of UPN's highest rated shows. The show's seventh cycle was the first of the shows among regular programming on UPN's successor network, The CW, and thus far is the network's highest rated series. The show will continue until at least the 2009-10 season. The opening theme is performed by Tyra Banks and is produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Banks co-produces the show with Ken Mok and Anthony Dominici. For the 2006-2007 television season, ANTM was the #1 show in average viewers on The CW.
