'One Tree Hill' Season 5 Gag Reel Now Online

August 19, 2008

Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy GaleottiWho doesn't love a good gag reel?  Even though I've watched actors cracking up as they flub their lines on seemingly hundreds of different DVDs, I never tire of seeing my favorite stars act like real people.  There's something about a good gag reel that makes you feel like you're right there on the set watching the magic happen.  It's a bit strange to see someone like Kiefer Sutherland break character as he collapses into giggles while filming 24, but that's what makes it so entertaining.  Gag reels help to remind us that actors are real people, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us.

Season 5 of One Tree Hill comes to DVD on August 26, but the gag reel has already shown up on YouTube.  Read on to check it out.

Chad Michael Murray Writing Noir-Themed 'One Tree Hill' Episode

August 11, 2008

Chad Michael MurrayThere are few film genres that I love more than noir, which was all the rage in Hollywood throughout the '40s and '50s.  The films are usually shot in black and white, and often contain flashbacks, voiceovers, cynical men and dangerous femme fatales.  As much as I love the noir style, it can often be a disaster when television shows adopt it for very special episodes.  Smallville and Charmed both tried to pull off the hardboiled dialogue and beautiful black and white cinematography, but the less mentioned about those episodes the better.

While being interviewed by The CW Source at the Teen Choice Awards, Chad Michael Murray revealed that the episode of One Tree Hill he's scripting will be noir-themed.  Will it be an interesting departure for the show or an absolute train wreck?

'One Tree Hill' Spoilers for Season 6

August 11, 2008

One Tree Hill CastThe fifth season finale of One Tree Hill left us with one of the biggest cliffhangers of the television season.  A moment before the episode came to an end, Lucas called up a very special girl and asked her to go to Las Vegas with him to get married.  The question that remains is: which girl did he choose?  It could have been Peyton (Hilarie Burton), who he had subconsciously been pining for all season.  It may have been Brooke, who he had grown close to after the arrival of baby Angie.  Or maybe it was former fiancée Lindsey, who called Lucas and admitted that she was still in love with him.  We'll find out the identity of the mystery woman when the sixth season of One Tree Hill premieres September 1 on the CW.

Though we don't have the answer to the big cliffhanger, we do have plenty of other juicy spoilers for season 6 of the series.  Read on at your own risk!
