I've been getting a bit tired of using the same old pictures of Sam and Dean every time I write a Supernatural story. There are only so many photos of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in the world, and I feel like I've posted all of them at least twice. That's why I'm thrilled to report that the CW has finally released pictures from the Supernatural season 4 premiere episode, entitled "Lazarus Rising." The pictures are a bit spoilery, so you probably shouldn't look at them if you want to go into the September 18 premiere completely oblivious. Of course, if you don't look at them you'll be missing out on some very intriguing images. Read on at your own risk!

We're a little over a month away from the return of Supernatural. It's been a long summer without the Winchester brothers, especially since we were left with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that found Dean trapped in Hell. When I sat down to think about five things I hope to see in season 4, Dean's resurrection didn't make my list. Not because I don't want it to happen, of course, but because it's obvious it's going to. Dean won't be away from the world for long, and I thought it'd be interesting to think up five ideas that are more unlikely. These things may never actually happen on Supernatural, but if they do I'll be the first one to stand up and cheer.

Supernatural fans still have time to agonize over Dean's stint in Hell as we wait for the series to return on September 18. Now, thanks to Creation Entertainment's recent "Salute to Supernatural" event, we have a few clues about what we can expect in season 4. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and creator Eric Kripke appeared at the convention in Los Angeles to thank the fans, answer questions, and discuss what's coming up for the Winchesters in the future. Beware that there are some minor spoilers for the next season of Supernatural below.

There have been plenty of strange creatures on Supernatural over the years. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have faced a scarecrow, a Wendigo, Bloody Mary, vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters, amongst other oddities. The Winchester brothers have defeated them all, but how will they fare against a seven-foot-tall, talking teddy bear? Backstage at the San Diego Comic-Con, creator Eric Kripke revealed that fans may soon find out. The mastermind behind the CW series was excited to discuss other upcoming episodes, and also commented on whether he really plans to end the show after its fifth season. Read on for all the details, but beware that there are minor spoilers for season 4 of Supernatural.

Few Supernatural fans cried into their Jared Padalecki pillowcases when it was announced that actress Katie Cassidy, better known as the demonic Ruby, wouldn't be returning for season 4 of the series. Creator Eric Kripke wanted the actress back, but claimed that the budget just wouldn't allow for it. There are plenty of fans who never warmed up to the actress for one reason or another, so the loss of the character didn't exactly rile up loyal viewers.
For those Supernatural fans who enjoyed Cassidy's ambiguously evil turn, TV Guide is reporting that the actress has landed one of the lead roles on the CBS mid-season drama Harper's Island. Oddly enough, it's also rumored that Jim Beaver, who plays Bobby Singer on the CW series, may be up for a role as well.
