A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila

Dani Campbell may not have found love on the first season of the MTV reality dating series A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, but she has certainly found love in other places.  In just 10 short weeks, the openly lesbian firefighter and paramedic has become America's next lesbian superhero, often being invited to talk about equality and empowerment at college campuses across the country.

Of course, a huge part of her fame is due to her exposure on A Shot at Love, where she became a runner-up to winner Bobby Banhart.

“People recognize me everywhere I go.  It's way cool to see the different people who have watched the show and who are big fans and they just range from all types of people.  That was kind of unexpected.  I'm just going with the flow,” Campbell told the New England Blade.

After A Shot at Love, Campbell has been occupied with several endeavors, which she will talk about upon her arrival in Provincetown where she will attend the first annual Girl Splash.  The  said event will feature a string of outdoor activities and parties, including sunset dune trips, whale watch tours, clambakes, and pool parties on the only lesbian beach in the country.

“It's my first time going there so I'm very excited.  I've heard a lot of good things about the place,” the Shot at Love contestant said.

Aside from invitations to numerous events, Campbell is also busy with her clothing line, which is one of the biggest priorities in her life right now.

“It's called Futch Apparel [Futch, of course, became something of her catchphrase on A Shot at Love] and my business partner and I are trying to build it into a line.  Right now, we just have shirts, but we're trying to get the money together to start other lines, like pants, jackets, and hats.  It's a line of clothes for women and men who don't fit the everyday mold,” she revealed.
