american dadThis coming Sunday, fans can expect another round of hilarity as FOX brings forth another segment of its satirized animated comedy, American Dad.  Bringing more bawdy humor are Stanley “Stan” Smith, the head of the Smith household who works for the CIA, his devoted and stereotypical trophy housewife, Francine, their ultra-liberal daughter, Haylie, their clever but social outcast son, Steve, the sadistic and perverted family pet goldfish, Klaus, and sarcastic and flamboyantly effeminate space alien, Roger, in the episode entitled “Dope & Faith,” which airs on October 14.

Read on for a sneak peek on the upcoming episode of American Dad.

In "Dope & Faith," Stan prays for a friend and thinks that God has sent him one in the form of a guy named Brett Morris.  On the other hand, Brett, who is like him in every way, turns out to be an atheist. Stan tries to evangelize and convince his friend that God exists by making his life extremely miserable.  Sooner or later, his plan backfires and Brett dies.  This results to Stan's crisis of faith until he meets a true friend who is not an atheist during Brett's funeral.

Meanwhile, Roger convinces Steve that he has been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a fictional school of magic for witches and wizards famously used in J. K. Rowling's best-selling Harry Potter series.

Providing the voice for Brett Morris in this episode is actor and disc jockey, Jay Thomas.  He is popularly known for his roles on Mork and Mindy, Murphy Brown, and Cheers, to name a few, and is currently the host of his own radio program, The Jay Thomas Show.

Also featured in “Dope & Faith” are Eartha Kitt, who will be voice acting as a fortune teller, and Jocko Sims as Ice Pick.  Kitt is best know for her role as Catwoman in the 1960s television series Batman and for her Christmas song "Santa Baby," while Sims is credited for Dreamgirls, Jarhead, and is one of the stars on the upcoming series Canterbury's Law.

Catch a new episode of American Dad every Sunday at 9:30/8:30c on FOX.
