When Grey’s Anatomy returns this fall, fans are going to want immediate updates on the workplace romances going on at Seattle Grace. Meredith finally put herself out there to Derek and said that she was ready for a life with him. Cristina finally let go of Burke and seems ready to meet up with a new doctor in an on call room. Alex has his hands full taking care of Rebecca, who appears to be going insane. Webber went home to his wife (and it was about time)! Izzie and George are no more and Callie seems to be moving on from her marriage just fine, cozying up to Erica Hahn. Just when you thought you figured those doctors out, season 5 updates come rolling in and it seems everyone at Seattle Grace will soon be feeling the love.

Is it possible that McSteamy will stop angering Seattle Grace’s nursing staff by attempting to sleep with all of them? Eric Dane told E! that it seems McSteamy might soon be settling down but don’t expect him to become someone’s McHusband just yet. "I think he's going to find real love this season," Dane said. "I don't know how long that's going to last. The nature of the show is people don't stay together very long. We always end up getting back together, and then we break up again, then we get back together again—but I think this year he's going to find somebody."

Gizzie is dead (woohoo!) and Izzie, herself, will be moving on to find someone new to cuddle up with. Fans worried that show creator Shonda Rhimes would be killing off Katherine Heigl’s character this season but it seems she’s sticking around – for now. “Izzie's got a love story and it's a big one, one that I've been kicking around in my head for a bit, one that required me to take a huge leap of faith in myself, one that is so secret that I have not told anyone. Not the writers, not anyone,” Rhimes told TV Guide this week. Could this have something to do with the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan? I’d certainly have to take a leap of faith if Izzie started a romantic relationship with a dead guy.

For fans who want to speculate about possible hookups, here are some scene partners early in season 5. Lexie and McSteamy share a scene in the 3rd episode but no word on if they’re fully clothed or not. Izzie and Alex share a drink at the bar after work and seem to be all smiles. Grey’s returns Thursday, September 25 at 9pm with all the medical traumas and on call room hookups you can handle.
