Smallville Season 8, Episode 9 - "Abyss"
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello dropped some hints about this episode, which will find Chloe forgetting her past and recognizing no one aside from Davis. "I have some very interesting news about Chloe, who, as you probably heard, suffers some serious dementia in episode 9," he wrote in his column. "Clark, in turn, seeks Jor-El's help in restoring her memories -- well almost all her memories. You see, Clark decides that his BFF might be better off forgetting a thing or two."
This episode will feature flashbacks to Chloe and Clark's childhood, and will also show the young kids sharing their first kiss.
The CW's official episode description reads: "Brainiac begins removing Chloe’s memories one by one until the only person she remembers is Davis. Clark realizes the only way to stop Brainiac from taking over Chloe’s mind is to rebuild the Fortress and ask Jor-El to heal her."
Smallville Season 8, Episode 10 - "Bride"
Chloe and Jimmy finally make it to the altar, but their wedding doesn't go off without a hitch. The wedding takes place at the Kent farm and finds at least two characters getting seriously injured. This is the mid-season finale for the show, so expect a few cliffhangers. This episode is also the first of five that will feature
Kristin Kreuk.
Erica Durance told
TV Guide that Lana's return causes a rift between Lois and Clark. "I know that they're bringing her back [in Episode 10], and that creates some heartache for Lois," Durance reveals. "They have the whole triangle going again. I don't know exactly how they'll be doing that, but it will be in a way that's very hard for Lois. I wouldn't want to speak for Clark, but I think that he's kind of realizing glimpses of that and how he feels about Lois. He's just not willing to admit that to himself or to her. When Lana comes back, that creates a real problem."
While everyone else prepares for the wedding, Oliver goes off on some sort of mission as Green Arrow.
Smallville Season 8, Episode 11 - "Legion"
Comic book scribe Geoff Johns wrote this episode, which will introduce the Legion of Superheroes to the
Smallville universe. Johns commented on the episode on a comic book forum, saying, "They are absolutely, 100% on point with the Legionnaires and their relationship with Clark Kent. I can say you'll see an appearance by one of the Legion's better known enemies, but I can't reveal who just yet. More information to come when I can talk about it."
The episode will feature three superheroes from the future traveling to the past when Brainiac takes over Chloe's body.
Smallville Season 8, Episode 12 - "Bulletproof"
This episode doesn't feature Lois, Davis or Jimmy, but it does contain a kiss between two of the show's most important characters. Allison Mack also doesn't have a big role in the episode, possibly because she's directing the next installment. "Bulletproof" finds Clark going undercover, Lana meeting Tess, and Clark and Lana having a dinner date.
Smallville Season 8, Episode 13 - "Power"
In this episode directed by Allison Mack, it's revealed that strange LuthorCorp experiments are keeping Lana alive. Dr. Grohl, the scientist from "Instinct," is the man behind the bizarre science experiments. Tom Welling, Allison Mack and Cassidy Freeman are the only series regulars to appear in the episode.
