Growing up in both India and the US, Nipa Bhatt's cooking is largely influenced by both and thus an exciting combination. Originally from Victoria, Minnesota, she used to own Gypsy Curry House. This former teacher and mother of two now works as a marketing manager. She loves reading, music, and interior design, and enjoys playing with her kids.

Her favorite food is fried rice and, for some reason, she hates barbecue sauce as an ingredient. Her kitchen philosophy is that cooking should be approached fearlessly. Moreover, her diverse background, according to her, is very marketable and Indian-style food is at once a very popular and mysterious type of cuisine. Thus, she wants to teach America how to cook ethnic food the easy way.
