Episode 1 - Bizarro 9/27/2007 Edit details Clark battles Bizarro, Lex nearly drowns, and Lana is revealed to be alive and living in China. Chloe is pronounced dead at the hospital, but manages to resurrect herself using her new powers.

Episode 2 - Kara 10/4/2007 Edit details Clark discovers that he has a cousin, Kara, who was stuck in suspended animation for 18 years. The two band together to find Kara's stolen ship.

Episode 3 - Fierce 10/11/2007 Edit details Kara decides to join the Miss Sweet Corn Pageant, but two meteor-infected pageant contestants stir up trouble. Lana returns to town without any legal charges against her.

Episode 4 - Cure 10/18/2007 Edit details Chloe looks into a cure for her meteor infection, despite the fact that it may have dangerous side effects. John Jones shows up to warn Clark about Kara.

Episode 5 - Action 10/25/2007 Edit details While a movie is filming on the Kent farm, Clark saves the lead actress from a terrible accident. Lana reveals that she was the one who kidnapped Lionel.

Episode 6 - Lara 11/1/2007 Edit details Kara goes to Washington D.C. to look for the crystal from her ship, but it's not where she expects it to be. Clark reveals to Lana that he has the crystal, which contains his birth mother's DNA.

Episode 7 - Wrath 11/8/2007 Edit details Lana is imbued with a portion of Clark's powers after a lightning strike. She steals classified info proving that Lex is keeping the remains of Milton Fine's ship.

Episode 8 - Blue 11/15/2007 Edit details Clark uses Kara's crystal to resurrect his mother, but unknowingly brings Zor-El back as well. Lara unwittingly gives Clark a blue kryptonite ring that strips him of his powers, allowing Zor-El to go on a rampage.

Episode 9 - Gemini 12/13/2007 Edit details Clark and Lana team up to take down Lex, and discover that Milton Fine is still alive. A man plants a bomb on Chloe, threatening to kill her if Lois doesn't expose the truth about Lex.

Episode 10 - Persona 1/31/2008 Edit details Lana is unaware that Bizarro is impersonating Clark, and ends up spilling info about Milton Fine to him. Bizarro tracks down Fine and asks him for help.

Episode 11 - Siren 2/7/2008 Edit details Black Canary comes to Smallville and tries to steal confidential information from Chloe. On Lex's orders, the Canary then goes after Green Arrow.

Episode 12 - Fracture 2/14/2008 Edit details Lex discovers Kara suffering from amnesia in Detroit. Clark enters Lex's mind in an attempt to locate Lois and Kara.

Episode 13 - Hero 3/13/2008 Edit details Pete Ross comes back to town and gets stretching powers thanks to some chewing gum laced with kryptonite. Clark is forced to save his old friend after he's held captive by Lex.

Episode 14 - Traveler 3/20/2008 Edit details Lionel hires a group of men to kidnap Clark. It's revealed that the Swanns, the Teagues, the Queens, and Lionel were part of a secret society known as Veritas.

Episode 15 - Veritas 3/27/2008 Edit details Brainiac tries to convince Kara to work for him, while Jimmy and Lois try to uncover the truth about Patricia Swann's murder. Kara attempts to teach Clark to fly.

Episode 16 - Descent 4/17/2008 Edit details Lex kills his father and steals his locket, which he thinks holds a key to a deposit box in Zurich. Jimmy and Lois discover that Lex is responsible for Lionel's death.

Episode 17 - Sleeper 4/24/2008 Edit details Chloe hacks into government satellites to locate Brainiac and Kara, which gets her in trouble with the Department of Domestic Security. Clark learns that Brainiac plans to kill his infant self.

Episode 18 - Apocalypse 5/1/2008 Edit details Jor-El sends Clark to another reality to show him what life would be like if he never arrived on Earth. Clark learns that all of his friends are much better off without him.

Episode 19 - Quest 5/8/2008 Edit details The bank teller from Zurich attacks Lex, carving the Kryptonian symbols for "Traveler", "Savior" and "Sanctuary" into his chest. Clark travels to Montreal and has a confrontation with Edward Teague.

Episode 20 - Arctic 5/15/2008 Edit details Clark learns that Brainiac has been impersonating Kara, and that she's really stuck in the Phantom Zone. Clark and Lex have a confrontation in the Fortress of Solitude.

Episode 1 - Zod 9/28/2006 Edit details Through his father’s assistant Raya, Clark tries to escape from Phantom Zone. Meanwhile, Chloe encounters his former flame Jimmy Olsen, a new intern photographer at the Daily Planet. After escaping, Clark was able to confront Zod, whom he defeats.

Episode 2 - Sneeze 10/5/2006 Edit details Clark helps Metropolis get back on its knees and rebuilds it. He develops a cold, however, and this leads to him discovering a new power when he sneezes. He unintentionally blows the barn door off its hinges across town, nearly hitting Lois.

Episode 3 - Wither 10/12/2006 Edit details To help raise funds for the restoration process, Lex throws a costume charity ball. Meanwhile, Lana can’t trust Lex fully so he tells Chloe her feelings. Clark learns that there are those who were able to escape Phantom Zone. A park ranger is revealed to be doing something out of this world.

Episode 4 - Arrow 10/19/2006 Edit details Something goes wrong with Martha’s US Senate bid party when a thief gatecrashes and steals a priceless necklace. Vowing to find it, Clark goes to Metropolis and discovers that he knows the thief.

Episode 5 - Reunion 10/26/2006 Edit details Lex and Oliver go to their 10-year reunion. Everything is OK until the death of Lex’s best friend Duncan is raised and things start to heat up. Meanwhile, Oliver’s friends start dying one by one and he tries to get Clark to help him figure out who is behind it.

Episode 6 - Fallout 11/2/2006 Edit details Baern, an escaped phantom, possesses a young boy and tries to find Kal-El. Meanwhile, Clark tries to look into the satellite images from Oliver. He gets an unexpected visitor, however, in the middle of work.

Episode 7 - Rage 11/9/2006 Edit details Oliver is shot when attempting to save a couple from being mugged at gunpoint. When Clark checks, however, Oliver doesn’t show signs of being shot. They later find out that such is due to a drug being discovered to heal any wound instantly. Lana discovers something.

Episode 8 - Static 11/16/2006 Edit details Bronson, level 33.1 patient, kidnaps Lex and transports him to another frequency plane. Meanwhile, another Phantom Zone criminal escaped and Clark heads to Seattle to find him. Bronson ends up kidnapping Lana to force Lex to reveal 33.1’s new location.

Episode 9 - Subterranean 12/7/2006 Edit details Jed McNally is discovered to be having illegal immigrants work on his farm in Smallville. Fortunately, Javier is able to escape. His friend, however, wasn’t so lucky. McNally is eventually arrested but escapes by burrowing into the ground. Jimmy finally locates his mother.

Episode 10 - Hydro 1/11/2007 Edit details A gossip columnist who can morph into water uses her abilities to get incriminating stories, such as ones about Lana, Lex, and Clark. Meanwhile, Lois thinks that Oliver is the Green Arrow, while Chloe and the columnist get into a fight when Chloe reads something she wrote.

Episode 11 - Justice 1/18/2007 Edit details Oliver sees the return of Bart, AC, and Victor to Smallville, and suspects that Lex is building up an army of kryptonite-enhanced people in his level 33.1 projects. Meanwhile, Bart is captured, while the rest, including Clark joins forces to try to rescue him and at the same time destroy Lex’s facility.

Episode 12 - Labyrinth 1/25/2007 Edit details A “Zoner” attacks Clark and he finds himself in a sanitarium upon waking up and, alas, without his powers. Someone tells him that his life as he knew it had been nothing but a coping mechanism he used to deal with his parents’ death in the meteor shower. A patient tries to help him and tells him that the phantom wants to take over his body.

Episode 13 - Crimson 2/1/2007 Edit details It is Valentine’s Day and at a party, Lois receives a tube of lipstick with red kryptonite to make her fall in love with the first person he sees, who happens to be Clark. The two kiss. Meanwhile, Chloe and Martha discover what’s happening so they use a green kryptonite to neutralize the effect.

Episode 14 - Trespass 2/8/2007 Edit details Someone starts to stalk Lana as he tries to investigate further into Clark. The stalker leaves her gift and even death threats, causing Lana to fear for her well-being. She decides to stay with Martha to at the same time ask questions about Clark.

Episode 15 - Freak 2/15/2007 Edit details A young man who was blinded by the last meteor shower is used by LuthorCorp to identify people who are kryptonite-enhanced so that they may place tracking devices in them. He identifies Chloe as one of them. Thankfully, Clark starts to look after her to see any potential power she may develop.

Episode 16 - Promise 3/15/2007 Edit details Still probing Clark’s life, Lana starts to doubt the soundness of her marrying Lex. She then promises Clark that she will not be marrying Lex. Meanwhile, Lionel discovers what is really happening and forces Lana to walk down the isle. Clark is stunned at how things progressed.

Episode 17 - Combat 3/22/2007 Edit details Affected by Lana’s wedding, Clark begins using any means necessary to bring more and more wanted criminals to jail. Thanks to a tip from Oliver, he finds out an underground fighting ring where an escaped Phantom Zone warrior is taking on krypto-warriors. Something happens to Lana’s pregnancy.

Episode 18 - Progeny 4/19/2007 Edit details Chloe’s mother finally wakes up from her catatonic state, thanks to Lex, who is really just after her power to control meteor-enhanced people. Meanwhile, Moira tries to control Chloe so that she may be able to escape the facility. After briefly seeing her daughter again, she returns to catatonia in the absence of Lex’s drugs.

Episode 19 - Nemesis 4/26/2007 Edit details Lex is kidnapped by a disgruntled wife of a LuthorCorp captive solider. Lionel, meanwhile, plants bombs throughout an abandoned tunnel system, as Clark finally decides to go after Lex. Clark and Lex find themselves within the kryptonite-lined walls and are forced to work together to save their lives.

Episode 20 - Noir 5/3/2007 Edit details After being knocked unconscious, Jimmy dreams that he is a reporter for the Daily Planet during the 1940s. Meanwhile, Chloe and he try to discover who was after the shooting incident that targeted Lana. It is Lois and Lionel, however, who discovers the connivance between Senator Burke and Lex on a project called Ares.

Episode 21 - Prototype 5/10/2007 Edit details By combining the DNA of meteor-infected people and Titan, Lex is able to turn Wes Keenan into a super solider, the first mission of whom is to kill Senator Burke. Clark finds himself fighting Wes and ends up having to use one of his more powerful weapons to battle him.

Episode 22 - Phantom 5/17/2007 Edit details Finally, Clark comes clean to Lana about his origins. He also learns what really happened between her and Lex. Someone reveals that Lionel is working as emissary for Jor-El, while Lois uncovers Lex’s research facility. However, she gets fatally wounded, prompting Chloe to sacrifice her life to save her. Lana, meanwhile, tries to leave Smallville but some accident prevents it. The last phantom is able to copy Clark’s DNA yielding destructive results

Episode 1 - Arrival 9/29/2005 Edit details Clark finds himself transported to the Arctic and he sees the united crystals build up to create the Fortress of Solitude, where Jor-El tell shim that he must start training to prepare for an impeding catastrophe that will hit Earth. Meanwhile, two Zod disciples arrive in Smallville searching for Kal-El.

Episode 2 - Mortal 10/6/2005 Edit details Jor-El takes away Clark’s power when he doesn’t return, making him human. As such, Clark is delighted to be normal and starts to immediately pursue a relationship with Lana. Things turn to worse, however, as Lana, Jonathan, and Martha are taken hostage and Clark must figure out a way to save them without relying on his powers.

Episode 3 - Hidden 10/13/2005 Edit details Chloe receives warning from a former school newspaper worker of an impeding missile that will hit and obliterate Smallville. In a confrontation to stop it, Clark ends up killing Chloe’s former colleague. Jor-El agrees to return Clark’s powers but with one condition: a close loved one’s death.

Episode 4 - Aqua 10/20/2005 Edit details A mysterious swimmer called AC rescues Lois when she injures herself in the lake. Meanwhile, Professor Fine informs Clark of Lex’s research facility that is trying to manufacture weapons. Interestingly, it is the same weapons that has brought AC to Smallville in the first place. The two team up to destroy Lex’s underwater facility.

Episode 5 - Thirst 10/27/2005 Edit details Lana finds himself enrolling at Metropolitan University, but because she did so at the last minute, she needs to join a sorority for shelter. The house leader and her sorority sisters, however, have something else more than housing under their sleeves as they turn Lana into something else, and somewhere along the way, it is revealed that LuthorCorp is conspicuously related to these mysterious girls.

Episode 6 - Exposed 11/3/2005 Edit details A senator arrives at the Kent farm seeking support for his candidacy. Things become complicated, however, as a stripper who is found dead turns out to be the senator’s mistress, making the senator a prime suspect. Chloe is able to urge Lois to go undercover as a stripper but things don’t go as well as they planned.

Episode 7 - Splinter 11/10/2005 Edit details A new kind of kryptonite is discovered, which causes Clark to have paranoid delusions about those around him. For one, the silver kryptonite makes him believe that Chloe is going to reveal his secret and Lex and Lana are having a secret relationship. The Kents, along with Chloe, try to look for a cure, but the answer comes from someone unexpected.

Episode 8 - Solitude 11/17/2005 Edit details Martha falls ill from a mysterious disease, causing Clark to turn to Professor Fine. The professor convinces Clark that it is Jor-El who is behind her illness and that the only way to save her is to destroy the Fortress of Solitude.

Episode 9 - Lexmas 12/8/2005 Edit details Lex tries to find or create negative publicity to harm Jonathan’s campaign. He is shot, however, and falls into a coma, during which the ghost of his mother visits him and shows him a life without his father. Chloe convinces Clark to play Santa to give gifts to the less fortunate.

Episode 10 - Fanatic 1/12/2006 Edit details Still on the senatorial race, Jonathan receives threats from a mysterious source telling him to drop out. Meanwhile, Clark finds out that Lex and his cohorts are doing everything to ensure Lex’s victory in the elections.

Episode 11 - Lockdown 1/19/2006 Edit details Two police officers who witnessed the Kryptonians’ landing, take Lex and Lana hostage unless Lex reveals the location of the spaceship. At gunpoint, he saves Lana’s life by taking a bullet meant for her. Meanwhile, Clark finds out that Lana had been doing some research about the spaceship. As such, he is afraid she is close to discovering his secret.

Episode 12 - Reckoning 1/26/2006 Edit details Finally, Clark decides that it is high time for him to reveal his secret to Lana despite the perceived consequences. Jonathan and Lex also learn the results of the senatorial elections, while someone very close to Clark dies.

Episode 13 - Vengeance 2/2/2006 Edit details Clark’s mother is mugged in Metropolis. Fortunately, someone came to her aid, and Clark wants to know who it was. On his search, he discovers the double life of a new reporter for the Daily Planet named Andrea Rojas, whom he momentarily joins to fight crime at night, while he secretly grieves the loss of his father.

Episode 14 - Tomb 2/9/2006 Edit details After a lightning strikes the kryptonite bracelet of a dead girl, its spirit is released from her tomb and attaches itself to Chloe. Clark embarks to follow the trail of the spirit to find her killer, who had been killing girls on Smallville for the past 10 years. Something horrible, meanwhile, happens to Lois.

Episode 15 - Cyborg 2/16/2006 Edit details A doctor finds and releases a half-human/half-machine subject named Victor Stone at LuthorCorp. Clark, meanwhile, meets him and promises to help him find his girlfriend. He is, however, lured back to LuthorCorp by Lex. Martha faces blackmail to which only Lionel can help her.

Episode 16 - Hypnotic 3/30/2006 Edit details Lex sets off to the jungles of Honduras to look for Professor Fine. Meanwhile, Clark meets an enchantress named Simone whose power includes using a charm to make people follow her commands. Simone seizes the opportunity after she discovers Clark’s powers. She forced him to break up with Lana and kill Lex.

Episode 17 - Void 4/6/2006 Edit details Finally, Chloe finds Professor Fine still alive. Meanwhile, Lana is still upset over the break-up and ends up experimenting with a new kryptonite drug that allows her to see her dead parents. Clark tries to save her from hurting herself. Unfortunately, he gets injected with the serum himself, during which he saw his father, telling him that Lionel knows his secret.

Episode 18 - Fragile 4/13/2006 Edit details Clark and Martha adopts a girl named Maddie whose mother was brutally stabbed to death. Lois, however, eyes Maddie as the main suspect after she learns that the girl has the power to shatter glass. Her father finally arrives to claim Maddie, but something is amiss.

Episode 19 - Mercy 4/20/2006 Edit details A disgruntled LuthorCorp employee takes Lionel hostage after he failed to take over the company. He sets up a string of elaborate games Lionel must win to escape death. Clark proceeds to tell Martha that Lionel knows his secret. Martha sets off to find Lionel but ends up getting into harm’s way.

Episode 20 - Fade 4/27/2006 Edit details After Clark saves the life of a stranger named Graham, he is just too happy and eager to repay him. However, as it turned out that Graham is a hit man who has the power to cloak himself, he decides that killing Lex is the best form of repaying Clark.

Episode 21 - Oracle 5/4/2006 Edit details In another apparition, Clark encounters his dad’s ghost at the graveyard. He is confounded, however, when his dad tells him to kill Lionel. Jonathan tells Martha the same message. Meanwhile, Lex is finally able to develop a vaccine for Fine’s deadly viruses but Fine quickly finds a way to intervene.

Episode 22 - Vessel 5/11/2006 Edit details Fine releases a deadly computer virus set to destroy the planet via pandemonium, and says he will only stop it if Clark sets Zod free. As per advice from Jor-El, Clark needs to destroy the vessel that Zod inhabits, which is Lex. Meanwhile, Lex is stunned by his powers and tells Lana immediately.

Episode 1 - Crusade 9/22/2004 Edit details Clark, who returns to Smallville as Kal-El, flies high up to steal a powerful kryptonian stone. Meanwhile, help arrives in the form of Dr. Swann’s emissary, Bridgette. She helps Martha about the new form of Kryptonite. Lois Lanes comes back to town to investigate the death of Chloe, her cousin.

Episode 2 - Gone 9/29/2004 Edit details Clark joins Lois Lane in the investigation of Chloe’s apparent death. They are, however, stopped by Lois’ very own father General Sam Lane, prompting Lois to suspect that he knows more about the death than he wants her to know. Meanwhile, Clark discovers Lex’s involvement in the affair.

Episode 3 - Facade 10/6/2004 Edit details Lana’s boyfriend Jason Teague arrives to Smallville to follow her. He takes on a job as the assistant football coach. The two wants to keep their relationship secret from the rest of the school but most importantly to Clark. Meanwhile, Abby Fine, a student, undergoes plastic surgery but learns later on that it’s more than what she bargained for.

Episode 4 - Devoted 10/13/2004 Edit details After the cheerleading squad spikes the football players’ drinks with a kryptonite-enhanced love potion, Clark ends up being the staring quarterback for the school and Chloe being overly devoted to her. Along with Lois, Clark attempts to get to the bottom of the mysterious trance.

Episode 5 - Run 10/20/2004 Edit details Clark tries to run after the thief who stole Jonathan’s wallet but he is faster than him. Later on, however, Bart arrives at the farm to make amends. Meanwhile, Lex gets hold of a manuscript with Kryptonian symbols, which is later revealed to contain a hidden map to one of the kryptonian stone. Bart steals the manuscript and Clark’s life is put in danger.

Episode 6 - Transference 10/27/2004 Edit details Heeding the call of one of the stones, Clark rushes to the prison where Lionel is held captive. After an altercation with the stone, Clark and Lionel switch bodies. Discovering his new body’s powers, Lionel starts to wreak havoc in Smallville. Clark, meanwhile, is powerless and trapped behind bars.

Episode 7 - Jinx 11/3/2004 Edit details When foreign-exchange student Mikhail Mxyzptlk starts fixing sporting events, Clark and Chloe start to investigate how he is able to control everyone. Next on his list, Mikhail makes a bet with Lex to keep his citizenship but soon Clark and Chloe finds out his weakness and the control of the game. Mikhail surrenders to Lex.

Episode 8 - Spell 11/10/2004 Edit details After reading off from a spell book, Lana, Lois, and Chloe are possessed by witches that were burned at the stake in the 1600s. They soon learn that the witches are after revenge for their burning and the Kryptonian stones. Facing the witches, Clark was stripped of his powers and forced to reveal the location of the stone.

Episode 9 - Bound 11/17/2004 Edit details Lex finds himself accused of murdering a young woman. Convinced of his innocence, Clark departs to prove this. Lionel vows that he has changed and even offers help to give some information to Clark. Meanwhile, Lana meets the mother of his boyfriend Genevieve Teague.

Episode 10 - Scare 12/1/2004 Edit details Lex’s secret laboratory over at Luthorcorp threatens to release toxins into Smallville when one of his experiments goes awry. Some of the gang were infected by the toxin, including Clark, Chloe, Lana, Jason, and even Lex. They fall into a coma and imagine their greatest fears coming true. Clark still manages to cook something up for the antidote.

Episode 11 - Unsafe 1/26/2005 Edit details Alicia Baker claims that she is cured. She returns to Smallville after being released from Belle Reve. Despite being skeptical of her, Clark starts enjoying talking to someone who knows his real identity. She does something unwarranted for, however, and the two gets married.

Episode 12 - Pariah 2/2/2005 Edit details Alicia finds himself the main suspect for a brutal attack on Lana and Jason, and Clark is concerned. Initially defending Alicia, he rethinks his position as more evidence pile up. As a result, Alicia forces Clark to unwittingly reveal his powers to Chloe. She was then killed by the real suspect.

Episode 13 - Recruit 2/9/2005 Edit details The star player of the Metropolis University football team Geoff approaches Clark to entice him to joining the team. He goes off to show Clark the perks of attending the university. Things get complicated, however, when a player dies and Lois is arrested for his murder. It is soon revealed that Geoff is a lot more than the team’s star player.

Episode 14 - Krypto 2/16/2005 Edit details Lois accidentally hits a dog while driving. When she brings it back to the farm, Clark discovers that it more than just an ordinary mutt when it starts pulling a tractor across the lawn. They soon are able to connect the dog to an aborted LuthorCorp experiment. Lex lets Clark keep the dog, who was eventually named Shelby by Martha.

Episode 15 - Sacred 2/23/2005 Edit details Clark and Lana heads to China after finding out that Jason and Lex are there to search for one of the kryptonian stones. Clark locates an artifact leading to the stone but he is forced to battle the wtich who possessed Lana.

Episode 16 - Lucy 3/2/2005 Edit details Lois’ younger sister Lucy arrives to Smallville and charms everyone she meets. Everything looks peachy, but when Clark sees her stealing money from the Talon, he forces her to reveal the real reason about her sudden arrival to town. The stone from Shanghai, meanwhile, mysteriously disappears from Lana’s apartment.

Episode 17 - Onyx 4/13/2005 Edit details A flash-forward reveals Lex Luthor in the future as being split in two after a kryptonite explosion. His evil side, Alexander, is released and immediately holds Lex captive in the mansion, and even tries to kill Clark and Chloe. It’s up to Clark to use a certain kind of kryptonite to force the two Lexes back together.

Episode 18 - Spirit 4/20/2005 Edit details Despite her surprise, Chloe is nominated for Prom Queen and urges Clark and Lana to attend the dance with her. Her rival Dawn, however, crashes her car into a ravine filled with kryptonite and releases Dawn’s spirit. She then becomes able to inhabit the bodies of anyone she wants. A series of events lead to Chloe attempting to set the school on fire.

Episode 19 - Blank 4/27/2005 Edit details Clark faces a boy who has the power to make people temporarily lose their memory named Kevin. He causes Clark to have total amnesia. Discovering what happened, it’s up to Chloe to teach Clark about his superpowers but still keep it a secret from everyone else. Even without his memory, Clark falls in love with Lana all over again.

Episode 20 - Ageless 5/4/2005 Edit details Clark and Lana find an abandoned baby in the cornfield and decide to take him back to the Kent far. In a few days, however, they discover that they baby has grown from a newborn to sixteen years old. The two must now rush to search for a cure before the disease kills the boy.

Episode 21 - Forever 5/11/2005 Edit details Clark faces a deranged school photographer who sets up a secret simulated high school in order to kidnap students and keep the glory days of high school going forever. Meanwhile, Lex and Lionel are kidnapped and tortured by the Teagues to find the Kryptonian stone.

Episode 22 - Commencement 5/18/2005 Edit details A second meteor shower threatens Smallville and Clark is forced to retrieve all the stones at once. Meanwhile, Genevieve confronts Lana about the Kryptonian after learning that it’s with her. She, however is killed by Isobel. Lana’s helicopter crashes next to a newly arrived spaceship which leaves Clark transported to the Arctic.

Episode 1 - Exile 10/1/2003 Edit details Clark gets entangled with Morgan Edge, a crime lord, after he is gets under the influence of red kryptonite. He breaks into LuthorCorp. Meanwhile, Jonathan makes a deal with Jor-El to bring Carl home.

Episode 2 - Phoenix 10/8/2003 Edit details Thanks to temporary superpowers from Jor-El, Jonathan is able to engage in a destructive battle with Clark below the LuthorCorp building. Clark decides to destroy the kryptonite as he is unable to kill his father.

Episode 3 - Extinction 10/15/2003 Edit details Clark discovers that Van McNulty is responsible for killing those people infected with kryptonite. As much as Clark wants to confront him, he can’t as Van knows his weakness and thus has manufactured kryptonite bullets.

Episode 4 - Slumber 10/22/2003 Edit details Clark finds himself being sucked into a girl’s dreams. He later discovers that the girl, Sara Conroy, is in comatose and is able to pull him into her dreams without warning. The two, Carl and Lana, visit her and discovers a very sordid family affair.

Episode 5 - Perry 10/29/2003 Edit details Clark learns that his powers are somehow derived from the sun. An increase in solar flares causes his powers to either strengthen or give out totally. A once promising journalist goes to Smallville to search for stories for a tabloid news show. He crosses paths with Clark.

Episode 6 - Relic 11/5/2003 Edit details Lana’s great uncle shows her a picture of a drifter whom he thought killed her aunt. The thing is, the drifter looks a lot like Clark. Clark, meanwhile, has other ideas, and his investigation leads him to a relic that allows him to see moments in the past.

Episode 7 - Magnetic 11/12/2003 Edit details Clark smells something fishy when Lana starts seeing and begins acting out of character. When he discovers that Lana’s new boyfriend can move objects telekinetically and even control human emotions, fighting ensues and Lana almost kills him.

Episode 8 - Shattered 11/19/2003 Edit details Lex finds Morgan Edge and urges him to come clean that he helped Lionel murder his parents. Someone, however, comes in his way before he can bring him to the authorities.

Episode 9 - Asylum 1/14/2004 Edit details Lex has made up his mind and wants to escape the asylum. At first he seeks the help of Clark but after he refuses, he decides to take things in his own hands. Meanwhile, a lot of guys team up to attempt to steal Clark’s powers.

Episode 10 - Whisper 1/21/2004 Edit details Clark is temporarily blinded when a kryptonite reflects back a burst of heat vision from him during a robbery. With his sight a little disoriented, he learns that his hearing has become more sensitive to compensate for the lack.

Episode 11 - Delete 1/28/2004 Edit details Chloe inadvertently discovers a secret experiment at Summerhold Institute. Someone, then, begins to send mind-controlling emails to Chloe’s friends with orders to kill her. It was Clark and lex who discover the person responsible.

Episode 12 - Hereafter 2/4/2004 Edit details When a schoolmate, who can foresee the future death of anyone he touches, warns him that Lana is going to die in a fire in the next few days, Clark pulls out all the stops to prevent it from happening. Meanwhile, the same schoolmate says she does not see a death in Clark’s future.

Episode 13 - Velocity 2/11/2004 Edit details Pete begins dangerously racing the street with kryptonite infused cars. Clark, then, tries everything he can to stop a race when he overhears a plan by the people in charge to blow up Pete’s car.

Episode 14 - Obsession 2/18/2004 Edit details Clark is forced to use his powers in front of another student named Alicia Baker. The surprise is his, however, as he learns that Alicia has powers of her own. Through their secret, the two suddenly have something special in common. Alicia, however, starts to get too possessive of Clark.

Episode 15 - Resurrection 2/25/2004 Edit details Clark befriends a young boy while awaiting his father’s surgery. The boy’s brother just died from liver failure, so everyone is shocked when he shows up at the Kent’s alive. The boy then threatens to kill Jonathan if he doesn’t give up his liver.

Episode 16 - Crisis 3/3/2004 Edit details A call from Lana ends with a gunshot then suddenly goes dead. When he arrives at the Talon, however, he finds her well and alive. Clar, Chloe, and Pete realize that the call came one day into the future.

Episode 20 - Talisman 5/5/2004 Edit details A Native American steals a mythic knife from the cafes and suddenly obtains superpowers very similar to Clark’s. He then sets out to find and kill Lionel.

Episode 21 - Forsaken 5/12/2004 Edit details Clark finally decides to come clean to Lana when he finds out that Lana is leaving Smallville. Meanwhile, an FBI agent kidnaps and tortures Pete in an attempt to make him reveal Clark’s secret.

Episode 22 - Covenant 5/19/2004 Edit details A young girl claiming to be from Krypton arrives at the Kents’ to urge Clark to fulfill his destiny. When he turns to his parents for advice, however, he is surprised when the girl suddenly wants Jonathan to reveal the deal he made with Jor-El.

Episode 3 - Duplicity 10/8/2002 Edit details Pete discovers the spaceship in a cornfield and forces Clark to reveal his secret to him, despite his parents’ wishes. Meanwhile, Dr. Hamilton steals Clark’s ship as he suffers from overexposure to the meteor rocks. He kidnaps Pete to know how to open the ship.

Episode 4 - Red 10/15/2002 Edit details Clark buys an expensive high school ring, which, unknown to him, contains red meteor rock and therefore affects his mental faculties. He then starts to act out of character, ruins a date with Lana as he figures in a bar brawl. He then decides to use his powers to be rich and eventually leave Smallville.

Episode 5 - Nocturne 10/22/2002 Edit details Lana discovers a secret admirer named Byron, who turns out to be a former test subject for one of LuthorCorp’s projects run by Lionel. She and Clark meet with his parents and come to the conclusion that he is being abused. When he is exposed to sunlight, he turns into something else.

Episode 6 - Redux 10/29/2002 Edit details Clark and Chloe decide to investigate the incident of a student who falls into the pool and aged 60 years in a matter of seconds. They discover a link to another student, and Clark manages to keep her from killing the new principal.

Episode 7 - Lineage 11/5/2002 Edit details A woman shows p claiming to be Clark’s biological mother. She abducts Lex and says she will kill him if Lionel does not tell the truth regarding Clark’s adoption. Meanwhile, Lana also faces her own biological father but learns that she shouldn’t have in the first place.

Episode 8 - Ryan 11/12/2002 Edit details Ryan calls Clark for help when his aunt abandons him. When Clark sets off to get him, he finds him held as subject to an experiment. He brings him back to Smallville but soon discovers that Ryan has something else that they are no aware of.

Episode 9 - Dichotic 11/19/2002 Edit details Lana starts to date Ian, a straight-A student who has the ability to duplicate himself. This has allowed him to take extra classes and also date Chloe while he dates her. When Clark and Pete spill his secret, he decides to kill both of the girls.

Episode 10 - Skinwalker 11/26/2002 Edit details Clark finds himself inside a local Native American cave with its walls full of symbols in an alien language. A local Native American and his granddaughter suddenly relate Clark’s life story to the symbols. To save the land, the two had to scare the Luthors away, which was made possible through the granddaughter’s skinwalking ability.

Episode 11 - Visage 1/14/2003 Edit details When Whitney Fordman returns from abroad, everyone is surprised. He claims to have lost some of his memory and wants to get back together with Lana. Not wanting to hurt his feelings, Lana goes along. Clark, however, discovers that Whitney is actually someone else.

Episode 12 - Insurgence 1/21/2003 Edit details Lionel defeats Lex and takes over the mansion, only to find out that it is full of listening devices. Lex then starts to plan bugging the LuthorCorp’s headquarters yet stops when he learns that Martha and Lionel are on their way to the place. The workers, meanwhile, have something else in mind.

Episode 13 - Suspect 1/28/2003 Edit details Someone shoots Lionel at the Luthor mansion, with a long list of possible suspects and motives. Meanwhile, Jonathan is found out cold in his truck with a gun in his hand, which turns him as the main suspect. Clark and Pete investigate to save Jonathan.

Episode 14 - Rush 2/4/2003 Edit details Pete and Chloe become infected by bug-like creatures that creep inside necks of those unfortunate. The bug causes people to behave in extremely risky manner. The result had Pete using a red meteor rock to get Clark to join them.

Episode 15 - Prodigal 2/11/2003 Edit details Lex finds out that his brother is still alive, and that he is being used by Lionel to get money from Lex’s inheritance. Without anything on him, Lex is forced to move in with the Kents. Meanwhile, Lucas discovers the great scheme that is being orchestrated by Lionel.

Episode 16 - Fever 2/18/2003 Edit details After inhaling dust of green meteor rock underground, Martha falls ill. She is also hiding the key to the spaceship. When Clark also gets sick, the farm is quarantined and the key is found. A doctor realizes that Clark is different after a blood test.

Episode 17 - Rosetta 2/25/2003 Edit details Finding the key, Clark inserts it into a slot in the cave wall. Successful, the wall starts to download what seems like the language of the cave. When a doctor discovers it, he uses it himself but the information overload forces him into a coma.

Episode 18 - Visitor 4/15/2003 Edit details After exhibiting signs that appear similar to Clark, Cyrus, a classmate at school, starts leading Clark to believe that he is not the only Kryptonian on Earth. Cyrus himself belives that he is an alien who got into the planet during the meteor shower.

Episode 19 - Precipice 4/22/2003 Edit details Clark is unable to control himself when a college student hurts Lana. After the boy is injured, the Kents are sued for damages, and Clark begins to question his powers. Meanwhile, Helen’s ex-boyfriend arrives in town to cause a major accident in Lex’s life.

Episode 20 - Witness 4/29/2003 Edit details After hijacking a LuthorCorp van, a group of thieves steal a shipment of refined green meteor. Despite Clark trying to stop them, the liquid kryptonite seems to be giving them strength. Meanwhile, Lionel bribes Chloe with a position at the Daily Planet if she’d do an investigative report on Clark.

Episode 21 - Accelerate 5/6/2003 Edit details A ghost named Emily, Lana’s old childhood friend who died six years ago starts showing herself before her. Clark, however, discovers that the child is real and that she had become subject of another controversial phenomenon.

Episode 22 - Calling 5/13/2003 Edit details Finally, Dr. Walden wakes up from his coma and reveals Clark’s secret to Lex and Lionel. Meanwhile, the hopes for any romance between Clark and Lana are obliterated when Chloe discovers that they are together.

As Clark struggles with his identity 12 years hence, he becomes best friends with Lex and finds himself enamored with Lana.

Episode 2 - Metamorphosis 10/23/2001 Edit details Greg finds himself in a car accident that transforms him into a half man / half insect creature. He kidnaps Lana so he can mate with her. As Clark sets off to rescue her, the confrontation leaves Greg killed and Whitney, Lana’s boyfriend, taking all the credit.

Episode 3 - Hothead 10/30/2001 Edit details A weird phenomenon transforms Coach Arnold into a fire starter, which he was able to use to advance the interest of his football team. Despite his father’s wishes, Clark agrees with the coach and joins the teams. A confrontation ensues before the first game when the coach’s cheating ways are exposed.

Episode 5 - Cool 11/13/2001 Edit details During a party, Sean Kelvin discovers that he can suck the heat from anyone he can, as he emerges from the bottom of a frozen lake with a strange hunger for heat. Clark tries to stop him but even he is left frozen. Making his way out of the ice, he arrives at the mansion but he can be too late.

Episode 6 - Hourglass 11/20/2001 Edit details Visiting a woman who has visions just by touching you, Clark is alarmed when she sees him surrounded by the tombstones of everyone he loves. Meanwhile, an elderly falls into a mysterious pond which seemed to reverse the aging process. With his new-found youth, he sets out to seek revenge for those responsible for his incarceration. This leads him to Jonathan.

Episode 7 - Craving 11/27/2001 Edit details Tired of being overweight, Jodi devises her very own diet. It worked well beyond her imagination as she lost weight faster than her body can handle. She ends up hungry for fat, which she handles by sucking human fat. Picking her up for a school dance, Pete nearly gets eaten alive.

Episode 8 - Jitters 12/11/2001 Edit details LuthorCorp begins a study on meteor rocks. One of its employees, however, ends up developing violent seizure as a result of direct exposure to the rocks. He takes Clark and his classmates hostage, desperate to find a cure for himself.

Episode 9 - Rogue 1/15/2002 Edit details A dishonest cop is able to witness Clark as he uses his powers. He ends up blackmailing Clark and even forces him to steal a priceless chest plate. When this fails, the police officer frames Jonathan for murder. Clark finally alerts the cops to what’s happening.

Episode 10 - Shimmer 1/29/2002 Edit details A girl obsessed with Lex is accused for an attack on Victoria that forces her out of the mansion. It is later revealed, however, that it wasn’t her who perpetuated the attack. Clark comes to the rescue to keep the invisible assailant visible for arrest.

Episode 11 - Hug 2/5/2002 Edit details Bob Rickman, who got the ability to bend others will, plans to put up a pesticide plant in Smallville and has set his eyes on the Kent farm. He makes Jonathan to sell the farm and later on convinces Lex to kill both Clark and Kyle. Clark seeks out the help of someone who was also with the meteor shower to bend Rickman’s will.

Episode 12 - Leech 2/12/2002 Edit details A lightning strike has Clark’s powers transferred to Eric, allowing Clark to finally live a normal life. At first Eric uses his new-found powers judiciously but later on starts abusing it. Clark then has to make a decision on holding on to the normal life or sacrificing the welfare of everyone else.

Episode 13 - Kinetic 2/26/2002 Edit details A band of ex-jocks, upon realizing that can pass through solid objects, starts robbing banks. Clark confronts them, but the meteor rocks prevent him from doing so. The thieves now turn to recruit Whitney, and Clark helps him and Lex to fight the thieves.

Episode 14 - Zero 3/12/2002 Edit details Someone from Lex’s past comes back and kidnaps him. He tortures Lex to reveal things about the cover-up of his case, where everyone presumed him to be dead three years ago. Finding out that his sister committed suicide, he turns to Lex. Clark comes to the rescue but may be too late.

Episode 15 - Nicodemus 3/19/2002 Edit details Dr. Steven Hamilton brings back a species of toxic flowers that has been extinct for 100 years. The flower’s mist is so powerful that it makes someone lost his or her inhibitions. Jonathan, Lana, and Pete all get sprayed of the mist and start to act out of character. And it is up to Clark to prevent them from harming themselves

Episode 16 - Stray 4/16/2002 Edit details A kid who can read minds is used by his parents in order to rob stores. He is able to escape by parents and taken in by the Kents, who have no idea of his powers. Immediately bonding with Clark, the boy’s father somehow finds him and kidnaps him. Now Clark must rescue him to stop his father’s plans.

Episode 17 - Reaper 4/23/2002 Edit details A bizarre accident leaves Tyler the power to instantly incinerate and kill someone. First attempting to assist the suicide of his sick mother, he sets his sight on easing the pain of Whitney’s dying father. Clark arrives to stop this killing spree

Episode 18 - Drone 4/30/2002 Edit details It is class elections season and Pete nominates Clark. Despite his misgivings, he goes on with the race. One of the candidates sends out swarms of bees to pester the other competitors. Meanwhile, Lionel uses the power of the press to bring Lex down.

Episode 19 - Crush 5/7/2002 Edit details An accident gives Justin Gaines telekinesis, which he decides to use to exact revenge on his enemies. Meanwhile, he uses Chloe to find out who the person behind the accident is to kill him. He suddenly turns to Chloe when learns of his plans. Clark enters the picture to stop Justin.

Episode 20 - Obscura 5/14/2002 Edit details An explosion accidentally gives Lana the ability to see through another person’s eyes. As Chloe gets kidnapped, she teams up with Clark to find the kidnappers. It is not as easy as they thought, however, as it turns out that it was the cops themselves who are behind the kidnapping.

Episode 21 - Tempest 5/21/2002 Edit details As Lionel closes the Smallville plant, Lex initiates an employee buyout in order to forge his own future with LexCorp. Meanwhile, Whitney leaves Smallville and joins the marines. A natural disaster hits Smallville which leaves Lana’s life in danger.
