Last month, a rumor surfaced that a former Guiding Light star might be headed to Port Charles to play a still uncertain yet pivotal role on General Hospital. At the time, the actor was said to be Tom Pelphrey, best known for his role as Jonathan Randall, the son of Reva Shayne and her late former husband, Richard Winslow, on the CBS soap opera. Recently, however, another soap actor has been rumored to play the much talked about role on General Hospital and he comes in the form of Emmy winner David Lago.
The former star of The Young and the Restless is said to have landed the role of Dante, Sonny's son with Olivia. On the other hand, a General Hospital spokesperson had no comment so at this point, there's no confirmation on the said character or the actor who's been cast to play the role.

Previously on The Young and the Restless, Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) and her dead ringer friend Marge got caught in a serious car accident during a heavy rainstorm that left Marge dead. During the memorial service, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) arrived before Victor’s (Eric Braeden) surprising appearance.

After only a few episodes credited to the young actress, Erin Sanders has departed from the set of The Young and the Restless. She was best known for her geeky persona on the Emmy-nominated Zoey 101 and it seemed as though she couldn’t hold on to a more serious role on the daytime drama. Leaving her Nickelodeon show was a big decision, and it was an even heavier choice to leave The Young and the Restless.
Playing the rebellious Eden Baldwin on the said soap opera appeared to be a challenging feat for the budding actress. Sanders probably wasn’t a good fit for the role, but it was the fans who had difficulties sympathizing with the character. This led to the part being recast.

Since 2005, Erin Sanders has played Quinn Pensky, the resident science geek at Pacific Coast Academy, on the Emmy-nominated TV show Zoey 101. During her stint on the teen series, she has been nominated a 2005 Women's Image Network Award for her performance in the episode "Quinn's Date," and has earned, along with the rest of the Zoey cast, a 2006 and 2007 Young Artist Awards for Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series. Recently, she went beyond the confines of Nickelodeon to join the cast of The Young and the Restless as Eden Baldwin.
Playing River's (Michael Gross) rebellious teenage daughter is quite far from her role on Zoey 101. But Sanders seems to be enjoying her life on the soap opera world.
