After completing an unprecedented five-week, 25-stop tour that took the best alums of the first two seasons of America's Best Dance Crew, the MTV reality dancing competition by American Idol judge Randy Jackson is all set to kick off its third season next year. The much-anticipated tour, very much like its American Idol counterpart, included first season winners JabbaW.ckeeZ, BreakSk8, second season winners SuperCr3w, ASIID, and Fanny Pak.
America's best Dance Crew will return to screens for its third season on January 15 next year, a Thursday, with a special 90-minute episode at 10pm. Nine new crews will vie for America's attention and votes as they perform in what has been described as the “most physically demanding” season yet. The nine crews emerged victorious from the eight casting call venues that MTV launched last October, which took them from Atlanta and Miami to Missouri and California.

After a highly successful season, their five-week, 25-city tour, and the announcement of venues for its third season, three of its best-known products of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew are set to appear in a show in Guam for a foundation. Randy Jackson and the rest of the ABDC people are currently on a nationwide search for the best and meanest undiscovered crews to follow the footsteps of Jabbawockeez and Super Cr3w as winners of the highly anticipated series. Each crew just has one chance of proving that they are worth the attention.
Some have noted that the relative success of a diverse group in season 2, more unique groups are expected to try their luck on the show. In fact, season 2 favorite Fanny Pak member Matt Cady said they did not expect to make it through the auditions. "We honestly didn't think we were going to pass the live audition," said Cady. "It's a real triumph that we got this far. Now we're on Guam and we didn't expect anything from this to happen from the show."

Retro is always a cool costume idea, and with the immense popularity of America's Best Dance Crew, you and a small group of your friends can easily dress up as the brilliant season 2 crew Fanny Pak. This basically gives you carte blanche to pull out every bad '80s piece of clothing from your closet and wear it, provided each member of your crew also wears a signature fanny pack. To make your Halloween party truly special, it would help to plan out a few bits of choreography to really blow people's minds.

As America's Best Dance Crew prepares to kick off its nationwide tour, the show creators (not to be confused with the producer, American Idol judge Randy Jackson) Howard and Karen Schwartz tells aspiring dance crews that options are practically limitless if you want to try your hand in this field.
"What people don't understand is that everything that has entertainment has a little dance behind it," Howard said. "You got movies, commercials, TV, videos, video games – all these things have dance."

Now that the dust has settled, B-boys Super Cr3w joins the ranks of Jabbawockeez as winners of America's Best Dance Crew. Beating out aggressive-pop and Houston-based SoReal Cru, the Las Vegas-based group got the majority of the reported 39 million votes that proved America's Best Dance Crew can compete with the barrage of dance shows that seem to bombard TV sets today. They get $100,000 and, of course, the title and bragging rights of being America's Best Dance Crew. The win also earned for Super Cr3w a spot on the accompanying tour that will take off September 18 in Miami.
“Our initial reaction was utter and total excitement,” Mike of Super Cr3w told HipHopDX. “Almost like tears of joys. Words can't even explain what if felt like because we've been working so hard and we felt like we just deserved it.”

Season 2 of America's Best Dance Crew may be over, but today Mario Lopez and the rest of the gang returned for one last show. Five crews from the first two seasons competed to win your votes to appear on the MTV Video Music Awards September 7. In addition, the two winning crews came back one last time to perform together and give us all a preview of the excitement coming on the America's Best Dance Crew live tour.
The show started off with a thrilling performance by JabbaWockeeZ and Super Cr3w as they danced to a remix of Queen's “We Are the Champions.” The song was rather lame, but the dancing was tight. JabbaWockeeZ delivered their trademark somewhat creepy style (complete with masks), smoothly proving why they won. Then Super Cr3w did their spectacular b-boy tricks. The routine culminated with a JabbaWockee spinning on his head while Do-Knock from Super Cr3w flipped over him, highlighting their beautiful ability to mix their styles.
