It was an early morning for Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who told People magazine that she was awake at 5:30am today. She certainly started off her day right, with a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song. Her song, "I Thought I Lost You", is from the animated movie, Bolt, and she recently performed it on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. “I’m so stoked! I never expected to get nominated," she shared. "I can’t believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.” So just who is Miley thinking of bringing as her guest to the awards next month? “I would love to have two dates," she admitted to People magazine. "I would love John Travolta to be my date because this is our movie, and Jeffrey Steele because he wrote the song with me and he’s such a good friend.”

While Miley Cyrus may end 2008 on a positive note, the beginning of the year was a much different story for the Hannah Montana star. In April of this year, Miley appeared in a controversial photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine, shot by celeb photographer Annie Liebowitz. The photos showed Miley barely clothed in some shots and draped across her father's lap in others. The press and the fans had a field day with it and the teen star faced more backlash than she was prepared for. Cyrus later apologized for the photos, as did Liebowitz, if anyone took them the wrong way. Considering all that Miley went through, you'd think that she would not be itching to pose again in another set of photos by Liebowitz but you thought wrong.

It's no secret that Miley Cyrus wants to try her hand on reality TV but that doesn't mean that she has plans to leave her popular alter ego behind anytime soon. Contrary to reports that the 16-year-old actress was angling to get fired from her contractual commitment to Disney's Hannah Montana, which is presently in the middle of its third season, Cyrus insists that she's hoping that the show will continue into the indefinite future.
"I can't really tell exactly what the future will be like, because I didn't think that at the beginning [the show would be the phenomenon] that it was. I like letting life do its own thing," the Hannah Montana star said. "[But] I definitely want the TV show to continue as long as it can."

As many people gathered to spend Thanksgiving with their friends and families, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus was working. On Thursday morning, she appeared in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, performing “I Thought I Lost You”, from her new animated movie, Bolt. Yesterday, the press caught up with her outside of her hotel as she signed autographs for her young fans and she shared what she is most thankful for this holiday season. “I think I’ve realized that mostly this year, because there’s been so many crazy ups and downs, and so many different things, and I’ve always had the same family to come home to that will treat me like the same Miley as I was in Nashville,” she said.

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is certainly eager to move on from doing tween sitcoms. While promoting her movie Bolt, which hits theaters today, the 15-year-old singer-actress told E! News that she'd like to try her hand at reality television, specifically MTV's The Real World, the show that features seven diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships.
"I would want to be on a reality show like The Real World because I think that's crazy," Miley Cyrus told E! News. "Anyone who would do that has some serious guts."
