Carmit Bachar Quits Pussycat Dolls

Carmit Bachar, one of the original vocalists of Pussycat Dolls along with Nicole Scherzinger and Melody Thornton, has recently departed from the burlesque ensemble that catapulted her to stardom.  Now, the 33-year-old singer will produce and star in a touring revue.

The former Pussycat will spearhead The Zodiac Show, a one-hour live concert-style theatrical event driven by music, celebrity, and multifaceted new talent.  Bachar will host a private entertainment industry showing on September 9 at 10:30pm at the legendary Avalon Theater in Hollywood.  She also hopes to take the show to Las Vegas.

Nicole Scherzinger has earned world-wide status as the lead vocalist for the popular singing group the Pussycat Dolls.  And while she enjoys the glitz and glamour of show business, the 30-year-old recording artist has also endured a lot of tabloid intrusion.

“It's interesting…I think my personal life is different, I want to [be] known for my music,” Nicole Scherzinger told MTV.

Fans already know that Kim Kardashian is close friends with the Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin, who not only is the woman behind the phenomenal pop girl band, but also the Pussycat Dolls Present reality series, which has spawned to successful seasons on the CW.  Kim already expressed her desires to be one of the Pussycat Dolls, and this weekend, she got to live out her dream to dance like the modern seductresses of pop music.  In fact, the Kim headed out to Las Vegas to do a one night show with Robin Antin at the Pure Nightclub.

"My first part of the show started off in the bathtub in the middle of the club in a vintage, all-sequin, one-piece bathing suit with puff sleeves and a beach ball!" Kim revealed in her blog.  "But my second look was my favorite! A white bedazzled sailor suit.  It even had a 'Kim' patch on the sleeve!"

The Pussycat Dolls are slowly and surely making their way back into the spotlight with their debut performance of their hit new single, “When I Grow Up” featured in a Jimmy Kimmel show late in May, followed by a bunch of live performances in several awards shows.  After getting the hype up for their upcoming sophomore album, whose title they did not giveaway upon the release of the carrier single, the Pussycat Dolls are finally ready to show the world what they have been working on for the past months.

The Pussycat Doll’s sophomore album is entitled Doll Domination, and is set to hit retail music stores on September 16.  The Dolls will also be performing on the Today show on August 29 and Fashion Rocks on September 9.  Their carrier single is nominated for the Video of the Year in MTV’s Video Music Awards.

Girlicious Member Talks About Tour with the Backstreet Boys

Last month, we reported that Robin Antin's new girl group, Girlicious, which was formed on the reality series Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, has been busy promoting their new singles.  We also mentioned that the pop ensemble will be serving as opening act for the Backstreet Boys' "Unbreakable Tour.''

In an interview with New Brunswick's Urban Voice, Girlicious member Chrystina Sayers talks about how her group will rock the crowd.

Pussycat Dolls Creator Looking for Dancers for New Lounge

Robin Antin, founder of the modern burlesque troupe The Pussycat Dolls and creator of Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll and Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, is presently on the look out for a new breed of talented performers to dance in the new West Hollywood Pussycat Dolls Lounge, which is expected to open in late August.

Antin's new batch of dancers will be known as the Los Angeles Pussycat Dolls and are expected to be able to use “retractable swings,” hang from “cascading chandeliers” and be able to set a “seductive vibe.”  Past celebrity cameos have included Pamela Anderson (Pam: Girl on the Loose), Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton (The Simple Life), Britney Spears and Audrina Patridge (The Hills).

Fans Flocked at X-Fest to See Girlicious

Thousands of music lovers gathered at the ninth annual Xclamation Festival this weekend, which was deemed a sold out event.  Girlicious, the American pop all girl group formed by Robin Antin on the reality series Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, was among the 50 bands that rocked the nigh away and gave its fans a gig worth falling in line for.

Eager to get good spots to see the group Girlicious, which consists of Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson, Chrystina Sayers and Natalie Mejia, some fans arrived several hours earlier than the scheduled opening at 5pm and were luckily enough to go straight to the Car Audio Outlaws Stage, where Girlicious was set to play.
